How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?

For starters, my cover page includes cover photo, masthead, tagline, barcode, cover line, issue date, and a price. These are all needed conventions to a proper cover page. Now to have a good cover page, all the conventions need to work together.  I took my cover photo and went on to adjust everything else based on the image. This includes the color of the masthead, tagline, cover line, issue date, and price. The barcode would only differentiate between white and black depending on the cover image behind it and since the area at which my barcode shall be placed was dark brown, I chose to make the barcode white. My mast head color is centered and in black, this way it not only catches the attention of a potential reader and stand out, but to contrast with the cover image. This goes the same for the rest of the conventions, as they all stand out against the cover image so it is clear and visible. As well as creating a pleasing cover page.

The conventions for my table of contents are very simple and clear. As I kept the title of the page as the attention grabber labeling it as "TASÍ Table of Contents" and in large font. Then the information of titling subjects and giving the page number directions are just beneath in a small-medium sized font, along with the color being two tones of dark brown. While the background of the page is a light tan, beige color, the letters would make clear visibility. Then I placed 5 different photos vertically on the left side of the page to add balance.

Finally, my double page spread convention sized is at 17"x11" horizontal. The page background color is the same as my table of contents. The placement of the main feature picture proportionate to my title of the double page spread was to have clear meaning and dramatic effect to page page. As I even changed the color of "Hot" of the title from black to red. This was done only on one side of the double page spread. Then underneath the title and main photo, I began with my feature story. Separating each topic with a brown line and sub-headlining of a brief description of the topic covered in the following paragraphs, it creates clear organization throughout my double page spread. Along with placing an image of the featured person on the right side of the spread to give an ease to the eyes because without, there would just be straight words which would incline the stressing of the eyes.

All in all my product generally uses all conventions need. As it uses conventions in different forms for either clarity, cooperation, balance, and organization.

My product represents social issues by being able to talk about inequalities and injustices in the world. As my feature story did touch upon the gender hardships on women and embracing who you are. As well as providing helpful information to beginner models or anyone who has a hobby of keeping up their beauty. My product also inclines about fashion updates and releases, as mentioned in my table of contents. This would be helpful in social issues and groups since nowadays, it is kind of hard to find out when fashion and shoes drop due to resellers gatekeeping it. Makeup and hair gurus also gatekeep beauty hacks or they would share them but at a high price, such as Arragont Tae. Resulting my target audience to be generally teens to middle aged adults, possibly even elderly if they have a niche for fashion and beauty.
